Project Engineer (Denver)
Job Overview: This position is for a highly motivated, independent and resourceful engineer looking to start on the ground floor of a fast growing technical consulting firm. While working under a licensed PE in the State of Colorado, this position will provide great experience and exposure to a wide range of engineering projects, primarily focused in the Oil and Gas Industry. This position will be 75% office and 25% field based, but could periodically range as much as 50% in the field at times.
Apply engineering methods and principles to oil and gas related projects, specifically related to well pad and water infrastructure designs;
Prepare engineering drawings and figures using AUTOCAD or similar software as requested by the client;
Work closely with RPG field supervisor/technician to address and ensure proper installation and implementation of project design;
Interact directly and attend meetings with client as requested to provide project updates on schedule, design changes and budget;
Support Regional Project Manager in fostering relationship of existing client growth as well as marketing new clients;
Attend project jobsite periodically to ensure quality control of design as well as daily reporting of construction activity as required by RPG field staffing needs;
Maintain an understanding and awareness of current and evolving Oil and Gas regulations, specifically as it pertains to surface disturbance, water and well permitting;
Schedule and attend meetings with state and local officials on behalf of the client to speak for the engineering rationale and construction methods being used on project in question;
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any combination of education, experience and training equivalent with a minimum of eight years of engineering work experience in Oil and Natural Gas or related field.
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license;
Experience with site civil design for either commercial, residential or industrial projects;
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to but not limited to the following: Stormwater, Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices, pipelines;
Ability to work 40+ hrs per week, with occasional weekend work;
Must be able to pass a drug-screening test.

Engineer in Training
Oil and Gas experience
Experience using pipeline hydraulic software
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills;
Excellent organizational and leadership skills;
Physical & Other Requirements
Ability and willingness to work flexible office hours as well as travel out-of-state periodically and stay overnight near jobsite as project needs dictate.
All required safety and other training required for the position will be provided by the Company.
